Neroli Essential oil Tunisia
Odor: delightful floral, powdery Use: In springtime, the bitter orange or Seville orange tree, a shrub with bright-green foliage, is covered in fleshy, white flowers. Clustered in the axils of leaves, they contain small glands of highly fragrant essences. The essential oil of the freshly cut flowers is called neroli essential oil, named for the Italian Duchess of Bracciano, Princess of Neroli, who loved the smell and wore it as a fragrance. Bitter orange is a member of the citrus family, like bergamot and orange. Neroli essential oil is a symbol of purity and innocence and has a delightful floral, powdery scent. A source of both pleasure and vitality, neroli has green lemony notes that are subtly spicy, fresh, and light. |

Neroli Essential Oil TRUE
Odor: characteristic Use: Adam Michael has this to say about Neroli Essential Oil TRUE “The neroli we offer here is 100% pure neroli essential oil that is obtained by steam distillation of the dried flowers. Although the enfleurage process is still used under some circumstances most of the oil available commercially is produced by steam distillation as dry flowers deliver a higher yield of oil than fresh ones. Neroli blends well with almost any other floral oil, especially rose, and for the ultimate in luxury you might try mixing it with both rose and jasmine absolutes. The colour of neroli is yellow but brownish red if exposed to light for some time. There are many apocryphal stories that account for the name of this oil. That it was Nero’s favourite perfume and therefore named after him is, I think, unlikely since there is no evidence to suggest that the orange (bitter or sweet) was available to the Romans at that time. More likely is that the oil was used for perfuming gloves by the wife of Flavio Orsini, Prince of Neroli in about 1680. The distillation of the oil was first described in 1580.” |

IFRA Code of Practice Notification of the 49th Amendment to the IFRA Code of Practice |
IFRA fragrance material specification: | | Linalool and natural products known to be rich in linalool, such as bois de rose, coriander or ho wood oil, should only be used when the level of peroxides is kept to the lowest practical level. It is recommended to add antioxidants at the time of production of the raw material. The addition of 0.1% BHT or alpha-tocopherol for example has shown great efficiency. The maximum peroxide level for products in use should be 20 mmol/l. |
