Beeswax Absolute France |
Odor Description: | balsamic and deliciously redolent of honey, with an animalic facet Beeswax is a natural raw material produced in beehives. When the worker bee reaches a certain age, it develops wax glands in the abdomen. These glands produce very fine “wax scales” that emerge from between the abdomen rings. Fresh beeswax is transparent and colorless. It develops its golden color through contact with pollen and honey. The wax scales allow the construction of the honeycomb in the hive and is used to cap the cells filled with honey. Beeswax absolute is extracted from the stripped honeycomb or from cakes of wax (created using the melted honeycomb) through the use of solvents. The fragrance of beeswax is balsamic and deliciously redolent of honey, with an animalic facet. |

beeswax organic absolute Laos
Odor: powdery family / honey, sweet, hay Use: Our Beeswax comes from the forests of northern Laos, in the provinces of Phongsaly and Houaphan, where styrax trees are cultivated for Benzoin. The gathering of this wild wax is linked to the gathering of honey. The hives are recovered from the trees. After the honey is removed, the wax is melted and filtered. Waxes of different origins are blended in Vientiane and molded into 4 kg blocks. The certified organic wax is extracted in France to produce the certified organic absolute (Ecocert EC / NOP) |

Beeswax Absolute
Odor: mild honey, sweet, floral Use: Adam Michael has this to say “Beeswax Absolute is golden amber in colour and of a solid waxy mass which melts with great ease. The initial aroma is mild honey, sweet, floral, with tenacious middle notes reminiscent of new mown hay with waxy undertones. Beeswax absolute is obtained by alcohol extracting the combs and the honey absolute we offer is obtained by alcohol extraction of the honey (no waxes) and of which is treacle like in consistency and comprises heavily of natural sugars. |
