      Mandarin yellow Essential oil Italy
A well-loved, sweet citrus fruit, the mandarin is the fruit of a small tree, the Mandarin orange tree. This fruit-producing, evergreen shrub has dark-green, glossy foliage and leaves that are smaller than on other citrus plants. The small, fragrant flowers, similar to orange blossoms, give rise to orange-yellow, globular fruits. Though very close botanically to the tangerine, the peel of the Mandarin orange has a sunnier color. Mandarin peel is covered with small pockets secreting essential oil, emitting a pleasant, zesty scent when the fruit is peeled. Mandarin oranges are harvested before the fruit is fully ripe. The essential oil is obtained through cold expression of the pericarp, a technique which separates the juice from the essential oil. The oil’s citrusy fragrance is tart and tangy, with a green facet.

      Red Mandarin Essential Oil Italy
The mandarin orange, also known by its botanical name of Citrus reticulata Blanco, is a citrus fruit native to Southeast Asia. Widespread in China and Vietnam, the mandarin did not reach Europe until the 19th century, when it was planted in the Italian regions of Calabria and Sicily, alongside bergamot and sweet orange. It grows on a small, rounded tree of the same name that grows three to six meters high. Its dark-green, shiny leaves are narrow and elongated, smaller than on other Citrus trees. In June, the mandarin tree is covered with very fragrant white flowers that release a subtle, pleasant scent. They give way to globular fruits, each having a slightly flattened top and bottom, which are harvested in January. Their shiny skin is covered with scent glands that give off a zesty scent when the fruit is peeled. Our 100% pure and natural Italian red mandarin essential oil is obtained by cold expression of the pericarp. Red mandarin belongs to the same botanical species as the yellow mandarin. It differs only by being riper, with a more intense peel color and a citrus fragrance with notes that are bitterer and less tangy than found with the yellow mandarin.

      Mandarin Essential Oil RED
The aroma of red mandarin is a fresh fruity, tangy, juicy, sweet, uplifting, feel good material. Produced by cold pressing the red mandarin peels, orange-red in colour and of a pourable viscosity. Fantastic material for the oil burner or aroma diffuser. Great for adding increased richness to citrus materials, especially single fold orange oils, useful for building neroli accords, pairs very nicely with champaca, bergamot, peach, osmanthus and ylang ylang oils. Also offers interesting effects when added to aldehydes.”

      Mandarin Essential Oil YELLOW
The aroma of yellow mandarin is reminiscent of opening a bag of mandarin candies, a citrus cocktail of rich mandarin, sweet oranges, and honeyed lemons. Like the other mandarins this offering is again lovely added to oil burners and aroma diffusers. Produced by cold pressing the yellow mandarin peels, yellow in colour and of a pourable viscosity. The sparkling citrus character is very useful for imparting freshness within floral bouquets, especially lavender or rose creations and this material pairs especially well with cedrat, grapefruit and yuzu.

Use: The mandarin tree is small. It was imported into Europe in the 19th century but is native to the Far East where it has been cultivated for more than 3000 years. It owes its name to the silk robes worn by Mandarins, public officials of the ancient Chinese court. At that time, this fruit was strictly reserved for the privileged class.
