Propenyl Guaethol
Flavor: Vanilla Like, 10 ppm It is used in many flavour compositions : Chocolate, Mapple, Nut, Vanila, Butterscotch, Rum, Caramel etc. For fortifying vanilla flavour, the propenyl guaethol to vanillin ratio should not exceed 4 parts of propenyl guaethol to 96 parts of vanillin or ethyl vanillin, It is used occasionally in perfumes as sweetener or as replacement of vanillin, if there is discoloration problem. The normal concentration is about 10 to 30 ppm in finished products. |
